I’ve recently started adding Home Assistant functionality to my house. Having an existing EPH controller I jumped straight in to getting the gateway and I’m kind of regretting it somewhat. The gateway does what is advertised - after flipping my controller into a hub mode device I was able to connect both my existing thermostat and the gateway and both are working fine. I’m able to use the mobile app to control things now, but the third-party software support for the EPH gateway is lacking.

Just what I ordered! Product does exactly what it is supposed to. Delivered safely and on time.

Actual unit is very good. It was very easy to set up as I already had the receiver and thermostat fitted as part of the system. It’s main failing is the cost of expanding the system in future as there are many much cheaper systems now available. For now though, the ability to turn on the heatin before getting home is a major benefit.
